My Approach to Lactation Counseling


My care is inclusive of all family structures. I honor and serve families
of every race, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability
and national origin. 


Feeding your baby is both a physical and emotional journey. It is an
intimate relationship between you and your baby, and a deeply personal experience. My approach to lactation counseling is rooted in evidence based information, up to date research, compassion and respecting your intuition as a parent and honoring the wisdom of your body. 

I believe every feeding journey is unique. Whether you are exclusively breastfeeding, exclusively chestfeeding, a combination of feeding methods, pumping, bottle feeding or other alternative ways of feeding- our work together begins with meeting you where you are at and supporting you at your own pace, without judgement and or pressure.

My role isn’t to direct your decisions, but to offer evidence-based guidance, practical tools, and steady reassurance so you can choose what feels aligned for you, your baby and family unit.


During our time together, I take a holistic view of feeding. We look at latch and positioning, your comfort, your recovery, baby’s feeding cues, your emotional well-being, and the general rhythm of your days. I listen with care and help you move through challenges at a pace that feels right for you.

More than anything, I want you to feel confident, empowered and heard in your feeding journey. Nourishing your baby should feel manageable, comfortable/pain free, and aligned with what feels right for your family. You deserve support that honors your body, your baby, and your family.

Lactation & Breast/Chestfeeding Support May Include:
 

  • Prenatal feeding guidance and preparation
     

  • Latch and positioning guidance to support comfort for both you and your baby
     

  • Milk supply concerns (over supply or low supply)
     

  • Guidance on how and when to use your pump and or hand
    expression
     

  • Planning for a return to work or school/Bottle Refusal
     

  • Re-lactation or Induced Lactation
     

  • Weaning education and support

Investment in Care and Support


 

Initial Postpartum In -Home Consultation (evaluating the lactating parent and baby) - 
covering as much as 2 hours of care and support:  $275


Followup In-Home/Virtual Consultation - covering as much as 1.5 hours of care and support:  $175


Prenatal Lactation In -Home/Virtual Consultation - covering as much as 1.5 hours of care and support to answer questions and address any concerns: $175
 

One Hour Informational Session In - Home/Virtual (topic of your choice) - 60 minute session on your choice of topic(s). Topics can include but are not limited to: milk supply concerns, breast discrepancies, breastfeeding and sleep expectations, responsive feeding, breastfeeding while wearing your baby and more:  $145


Flange Fitting In -Home Only - 30 minutes at home.  Get measured for the appropriate sized flanges for the pump you have:  $75


Complete Pumping Support Package - 60 minutes of in-home care.  Receive one-on-one flange fitting guidance and a pump tutorial (on your specific pump) to help you feel confident and comfortable using your pump. Together, we will customize the settings to support your unique body and feeding goals: $175

Bottle Refusal Initial Visit: 60 minutes of in home or virtual care to address any feeding concerns that relate to bottle feeding. $275

Home Visit Travel Investment (flat fee in addition to hourly rate)
